Are you a Trump supporter looking forward to getting your hands on a Trump-branded, gold-colored smartphone? Well, you might have to wait a little longer. The highly anticipated Trump Mobile, which was initially set to launch in August for $499, has been delayed. According to the Financial Times, the delay is due to the government shutdown. However, a customer service representative for Trump Mobile told CBS News that the delivery has been pushed back until the end of January. But here's where it gets controversial... The T1 gold-colored phone was initially promoted as being 'MADE IN THE USA' on the company's website. However, the language was later changed to say that the phone was 'designed with American values in mind' and 'brought to life' in the U.S. So, is this a case of false advertising? And this is the part most people miss... In the meantime, Trump Mobile has begun offering second-hand devices from Apple and Samsung, which the company says are sold 'without the inflated price tag.' A 'renewed' iPhone 15 is listed for $629, while the Samsung S24 is priced at $459. To secure the yet-to-be-released gold-colored phone, customers must pay a $100 deposit upfront, which is refundable before the phone ships. It is still unclear who is manufacturing the gold-colored handset or when it will ship. So, what do you think? Is Trump Mobile living up to its promises? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
