Despite his impressive credentials, Razgatlioglu's manager, Kenan Sofuoglu, has set his sights high, aiming for a direct challenge to 2021 MotoGP champion Fabio Quartararo. However, the racer himself is taking a more measured approach, acknowledging that 2027 might be the year he can seriously contend for a podium spot.
"2026 is a learning year for me," he shared at Pramac's launch event. "I need time to adapt to the bike and understand its nuances. The M1 is a completely different beast compared to my previous rides." But here's the twist: even when Pirelli returns as MotoGP's official tire supplier in 2027, the Italian manufacturer will provide custom-designed tires for the premier class. "I need time to adapt and learn," he continued. "The M1's straight-line speed is astonishing, but it's the nuances of the bike and tires that I need to master. We have ample time for testing, especially in Malaysia, where we'll have a six-day test. I'm confident we'll find our rhythm."
