In the world of professional basketball, team dynamics and player situations can often take unexpected turns. On September 30, Kuminga agreed to a two-year contract, which could rise to $46.5 million if the team opts for the 2026-27 season. He had a qualifying offer of $7.9 million in hand since June 29, yet was considering his options and consequently missed media day, raising further questions about his commitment to the team.
